Horrible experience. After finding a vehicle I liked I began the process of applying for a loan. I was told that I needed to put a down payment on the vehicle in order to process the loan paperwork. I confirmed with the sales man several times that if for some reason the loan didn’t get approved or something happened I would receive my deposit back. He specifically stated “Absolutely, it would be bad for business if we didn’t.” A few days later I received a call stating my loan got approved, but there was an issue with my social security number that I needed to get resolved. I told them I would look into it. The next day they called me back saying I could receive the loan and purchase the vehicle (my social security issue was not yet resolved). I felt very uncomfortable going through with the loan with an issue with my SSN so I requested my deposit back, told them they could sell the vehicle to someone else (they told me someone else was interested), and I would then be back once my issue was resolved. After MONTHS of trying to get my deposit back I was unsuccessful. Both the sales man and the finance woman (Mary) told me that I would receive my deposit. Mary specifically stated I could receive a check or it could be refunded to my credit card. I was given the run around until I finally spoke to a manager who pretty much told me I was out of luck. Be careful these people are either liars or they don’t properly train their employees. Extremely disappointing, frustrating, and aggravating that I lost out on my deposit. Other reviews state they received it back. I am not sure how they pick and choose who gets their money back.
I just drove off with my new vehicle and couldn't be anymore satisfied. I spent over 6 months looking for a new car, and after 4-5 times visiting, everyone was always courteous and welcoming. I worked with Brian Murray and Tim Roy, who listened and made sure I was going to get exactly what I wanted. I would recommend this GMC over any other one because you will leave feeling valued as a customer. I look forward to now getting my vehicle continuously serviced at GMC Wallingford.

I have been looking for a specific truck for several months while going to Home Depot Saturday morning 11/11/17 and sitting out front at Wallingford Buick was the truck I was looking for. I pulled in to take a look at it within and in about 10 minutes a sales representative came out and he introduced himself as Brian MaGuire. Not only did I find the exact truck I was looking for but Brian made the buying experience second to none. I don’t normally write reviews but I felt I had to. Brian was so accommodating and all he cares about is his customers satisfaction. He made the sale process very simple and I would recommend highly going to Wallingford Buick and asking for Brian.
