I purchased two chairs from raymour and Flanagan and after about a year they were sinking and uncomfortable. I complained about them for years. Then my daughter suggested checking out Lyons to see if they could fix them. They re-did the chairs for me. I am so happy with their work. Better than new!!! Awesome work thank you so much!!!!
I have used Lyons for re-upholstering furniture (for which they are amazing) as well as making my kitchen drapes. These beautifully lined drapes cover a length measuring about 18 feet lengthwise and 7 feet high. I have always received complements on them and they truly make the room look fantastic!
I've passed this shop for years and never had a need to go in. Just this week, I wanted to stop by to inquire about reupholstering my couch- get a sense of time, what fabrics are available and cost. When I entered, the owner?, worker?, don't know because she never introduced herself was standoffish from the beginning. She stood in the doorway to the back room and didn't approach me, which I thought was strange. I explained to her that my dog damaged my couch and she immediately went into chastising me about allowing my dog on the couch - which is not the reason why I came to the shop to begin with. I showed her a picture of the damage, which she barely looked at, and quoted a random high priced number, not knowing the size of the couch or any other, what I would think, are important details. I know the shop has been therefore forever but frankly I don't know why. Needless to say, I'm searching elsewhere for better customer service.
Over the last 10 years, we have had Lyons reupholster an antique leather rocking chair, 2 sofas, platform rocker and an overstuffed chair and ottoman. Each time, they were finished on time and beautifully. They stand behind their work and the fabric companies they use. It is awesome that you still can find a company that does value the customer and holds true to the values of the people that started the business.

When you try to buy new furniture, it is all sized to fit in a McMansion. A better option for my 1748 house has been to re-upholster furniture that was made in a more gracious age. I've been extremely well satisfied with this family-owned and operated business on several occasions.
