EXTREMELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE & UNLAWFUL ACTIVITY. I will never rent for Hertz in Meriden again, nor will I ever recommend it to anyone. I rented a car from them in November for three days because my car was in service. First, they told me they were only holding $150 on my credit card, but instead they held $254 of my funds. Also, I picked up the vehicle with a full tank of gas, and returned it with a full tank of gas, but they still charged me for the gas. After I dropped off the vehicle, I was told everything was all set. However, Hertz continued to process transactions to my card without my knowledge for another month. I reached out to customer service regarding this matter, and did not receive any acknowledgement regarding the issue. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional, and I would not recommend this to anyone.
Poor customer service! The rental has been sitting in my driveway now for 4 days due to a " brake fluid" issue. Had called on 3 separate occasions explaining the story to 3 separate employees and have heard nothing back! Will NEVER work with this company again and notified the insurance company that has a contract with them on how they handle their customers.
I've only got good things to say about my experience renting from Hertz. They were friendly and professional, and when I had to alter my itinerary they easily accommodated it. I would highly recommend them.
We needed a car at the last minute on a Saturday morning, they held a car for me when they only had 2 left on the lot. I returned the car 5 days later with no issues. Unfortunately my own car was still not repaired, I had to return to Hertz in Meriden and rent another. They had a lot of cars but for some reason they had all just come back from Labor Day weekend and none were clean or ready - the guy said they were about to close but if I wanted to wait about 20 mins he would clean a car and put gas in it so I can rent it. I was very happy with his dedication to the customers
